Taiwan heads into a new dimension – a 3D impact

The transition from 2D to 3D has picked up rapidly in last few years. We have already started the 3D viewing of world but the development of 3D content remains bearish due to high production costs and technological difficulties. However, this sector is bullish and moving swiftly in near future.
Three dimensional (3D) entertainments is one of the hottest trends in consumer electronics. The transition phase from 2D to 3D has been started in the late 1890s, when the British film pioneer William Friese-Greene filed a patent for a 3D movie but the first 3D color movie was produced in 1935. It took more than 40 years. Although, 3D movies have been released in various forms since 1950s, the technology only reached on its maturity in the 2009 block-buster Avatar, for which audiences were willing to pay a premium to enjoy amazing 3D effects on the big silver screen. Avatar went on to become the first film to earn more than US$2 billion worldwide, with the higher ticket prices of the 3D version contributing significantly to that bottom line.
Taiwanese companies and research institutes are doing their best of best to deliver spectacular thrills to viewers at living room, work place and even on everywhere.
Computex in Taipei is one of the largest computer and technology expo in the world, which demonstrate the new way of scanning the world by enhanced technology every year. 3D technology was rocking and exploring the new dimension to the electronic consumers.There are 12.9 million TV sets with built-in 3D may be sold worldwide in 2011, up from 3.5 million last year, according to a forecast from ITRI. Last year’s global sales of 3D TV panels accounted for 2.1 percent of the total number of panels sold worldwide, according to the institute which expects the figure to treble this year before soaring to over 50 percent by 2015.
Optoma: - Optoma Corp. is a leading brand in 3D projectors around the world and got the recognition of Innovative Design and Engineering. The extensive product range includes projectors for home theatre and multimedia. Most of Optoma’s new equipments come with 3D feature such as 3D XL projector adepter, which is used for 3D projection in home. It has sold more than 600,000 units and eying in the sectors such as education, business, and home theater.
AmTRAN: - a Taiwanese original design manufactures of LCD television has unveiled 3D Television series in Taiwan and expected to sell more than 6 millions of units this year.
HTC: - A well known company for Smartphone. It is playing a pioneering role in bringing 3D to the small screen of mobile devices. The EVO 3D Smartphone HTC’s first smart-phone boasting 3D capabilities targeting the users who rely on their Smartphone for their multimedia content creation and consumption. Still it’s in early stage.
Aiptek: - Aiptek has amazing 3D products like 3D HD Camcorder, Photo Frame and more which provides an extra dimension for the videos and photos.
BenQ -- BenQ is a well known brand for digital revolution. It has introduced 3D DLP Home Theater Projector, monitor suited for 3D gaming.
Chimei Innolux: - is Taiwan's leading brand for LCD technology, 3D monitor for games. Chimei Innolux is the First to develop naked-eye 3D supersize TV panel with highest resolution.
The development of 3D technology has been exciting and impressive for the year 2011. Unbounded area of 3D has lot of growth aspects, where each and every 2D visual effect can be transformed into 3D.Year 2012 will be more exciting for 3D technology and will not be surprised by new 3D electronic gadgets with extra ordinary features.

Sometime very soon video games are going to be on 3D and kids will start getting an exercise just like the way they did when they played outdoors
