Think different and bigger than Facebook

Everybody says that making a new facebook is not a good idea, even Mr. Facebook agrees on this.
Is it the last social networking evaluation, nobody gonna beat this?

We cannot create a next generation social networking concept?

I am saying it’s possible, anybody can do this and come up with new ideas of Next generation social networking site.
Let me introduce a Level based social networking concept which is different from existing social networking sites.
There was a frustrating day in my office, getting bored and missing a lot of my native village. I just asked to google to show my village. Unexpectedly! Google has given me different option to search my village.  Then I asked to wikipedia to show something about my village, I am ready to read entire page, got the same answer. Then logged into Facebook and searched my village, got some people who have mentioned the name of my village in his place/from info. Thanks to Facebook but i was really shocked and trying to find out the answer of some significant questions.
Nobody knows about my village?  There is not a single news about my big loving village? What is happening there? There are a lot of interesting things about my village like there is no electricity, no school/college, lot of poverty, beautiful farming fields, much greener land than a polo field, awesome lake view sunset, united culture, energetic/newsmaker youths, loving villagers as my family and nobody knows that. How it is possible in this dot com world?
I was trying to make it possible with some existing and new concepts.
Make a directory site:-
We can make a huge database directory of all the villages/natives. Each and every village will have the separate page with certain information. There will be commenting options on village’s page for other site visitors with some grouping facility.
Difficulties: – Huge efforts are required to collect the data like geographical, historical, political, health, economy, cultural data and some numbers like population, no of families, male/female ration, literacy rate, poverty level, facilities, associated problems and lot more.
It’s possible for small geographical areas not for the globe.
Make a wiki site:-
We can create a wiki site at low level and let the villagers/site visitors to edit the page.
Difficulties: – We cannot get day to day data and events rather than some basic information and wiki is boring. Don’t have patient to read entire page in single sitting without clicking on any link. No social feature other than a limited discussion board.
It’s really good for basic information, not more than that.
Level based social networking site:-
Want to gather some facts before moving to original concept of level based social networking. Village is the smallest unit of society, which is definitely uncovered by all social networking sites. Everybody will have the laptop or smatphone in their hand in few years, there is no doubt about it. so why we are not covering?
Assumption: – I am not considering village as a rural area only. It can be rural, urban or small part of metro city.
Why users will join this platform:-
  • I love my native (Village)/division/district/sate/country/universe. What’s new about it, everybody loves their natives.
  • I want to explore my village to universe so that everybody knows and my village will get attached with main stream.
  • I want to catch NGOs, Social reformers, Law makers, Business tycoons and others by giving the clear picture about my native.
  • I want to show the beauty of my villages, yes I have lot of beautiful snaps.
  • I want to publish daily news from my village, why not everybody is journalist in these days.
  • I need to make a group to work on a particular issue of my village/division/district/state/country/world.
What’s the benefit:-
Humanity/social point of view: - I will have enough and exact data to do any level of analysis. Which will definitely be useful for NGOs like UNICEF, WHO and others. I will have ground level information to make the law, understand the essentials and plan for social development.
Business point of view: – A business man can get the exact data of business needs or feedback of their business at low level or any level. Any business can be easily reachable to any level of society. Which will be the great platform for SMEs, Small local business or big organizations.
User point of view: – I will actively share my views, messages, pics, thoughts, events, issues and lot more things on this platform because I love my native/village. I can make the community for particular target which can be moved from bottom to top level.
Concept of Level based social networking:-
Just considering the architecture of our society which is based on geography, I can easily divide the society in six different levels.
Level-1 – Village/My Native
Level-2 – Division
Level-3 – District
Level-4 – State
Level-5 – Country
Level-6 – World
Village or native is the lowest community for any individual user. Village will be one of the parts of Division, then District , then state and so on…
So all message will flow from one level to another level, from top to bottom or from bottom to top. Which makes the different from all other social networking site.
There will be a page for all village/native associated with low level community members and will be managed by the members with some basic feature of social networking site.
All other social networking sites are group based which has no level but this is the concept of level based social networking. In this concept message will be flowed from one level to another level.
It has lot of interesting , exiting features, much bigger concept than Facebook which will tend to an internet viral.
It’s my top level idea and concept, which can be further furnished with some research. I can say that it has endless scope from all point of views.
The principle of real social networking is achieved here. Do you have any question?

I agree. Right now Facebook is the dominant figure in social networking, but I do think there are different ways to spin around the social networking concept to create a new experience that can compete with Facebook in some way. Pinterest is a good example of this. Google+ is a really bad example of this.
I think that history will show that Google really screwed up Google+ by trying to clone Facebook. A clone of a popular social site without any users is worthless. Google probably should have tried several different smaller approaches with smaller teams and tried to find something that people liked rather than simply try and copy Facebook’s success. We all know that Google wanted to duplicate Facebook’s success to try and get access to all of this social data for their search experience. And between all of the big brands trying to promote their Facebook pages even in TV ads, the sheer number of companies listed at BuyFacebookFansReviews that do nothing other than promote business pages, and the way that the market is reacting to Facebook’s IPO, we know that they’re getting significant traction that Google wants to emulate. Even though it will take years, I think Pinterest has got a shot of being the solid #2 to Facebook rather than Google+ just because they’re offering a different experience. If all Google+ can offer is a Facebook clone that doesn’t have active users, then there’s no incentive really created for people to flock to it. I could be wrong, but I see Pinterest taking off and Google+ being largely left behind here.
